The Truth Activist

Before the concept of environmentalism began to make sense to mainstream society, the environmentalist was a fringe dweller. Society regarded us as anarchists – misguided souls seeking to derail the wheels of progress.

Now that we’ve all become “environmentalists”, society has a new animal to contend with. Admittedly, it strikes one as odd, at first glance, that society should have a need for “truth activists”. Shouldn’t we all be truth activists by nature?

To accept the environmentalist, we first had to accept that our activities were killing the planet. This took decades.

To accept the truth activist, we have to accept that we are living in a world of self-deception.

Society has about as much use for truth activists today, as it did for environmentalists twenty years ago.
